An Open Letter

To: Rep. Ramirez, Sen. Durbin, Sen. Duckworth

From: A constituent in Chicago, IL

June 30

We need to stop ICE now before it becomes Trump's secret police. We cannot let them patrol and intimidate polling places during the midterms. We must stop Stephen Miller's racist agenda. We need to shut down the illegal arrest and detention of people who have committed no crimes. We cannot let them return decent Haitians refugees that have been decent citizens and that contributing to our country. We need to end this administrations reign of terror. The have illegally killed criminals on the high seas. They have kill innocent Iranian school children. They have deprived Cuban citizens of food and water. Creating a humanitarian crisis. They have blundered into a war that has cost billions while cutting programs that supported not only Americans but people all over the world. We have a president that only cares about enriching himself, his family and his donors. We have a DOJ that is being weaponized against thr people who oppose this president and his corruption, his greed, his illegal private army. We cannot let these things become normal. We have racist terrorists that have wrapped themselves in the flag and claim to believe in God. They are in off ice they are running the country. I beg you to do something. To save the America I knew as a child. A melting pot that accepted everyone. That reached for the stars while making the wrold a better place. With the 250th anniversary of Americans founding we cannot let the great American experiment crash and burn. We cannot let it slide into a fascist author itarian dystopia run by racist criminals that weaponize it's institutions against it's citizens.
