I'm writing with respect to the Senators comments on Brian Lehrer. I assume she is getting a lot of messages saying she mischaracterized Mamdani and appears islamophobic. I think it was wrong for her to associate 'jihad' with him, as I don't believe he commented on that word. But I do agree that Mamdani should accept what many people say words like 'the intifada' mean to them, and act in response to that. But in general, I hope she will give him an honest chance and not rely too heavily on the attacks that are being thrown against him by the wealthy who are afraid of taxes.
