I read that Musk and DOGE are now taking their axes to the Social Security Administration, and the former SSA commissioner is saying that Musk’s reckless, illegal behavior could collapse the SSA within three months. Obviously, this would be a disaster for the millions of retired people (like me) who paid into Social Security every day of our working lives in order to rely on the income in our retirement. The establishment of Social Security and its subsequent success made it clear that the USA values its elder citizens when their working days are over. I fear that Musk wants to privatize or do away entirely with Social Security, leaving senior citizens out in the cold. Please fight this!
