Please vote against the Silencing Americans Act (S128). It is a poll tax, for people who do not need a passport to travel out of the country. It is a way to make our franchise, the most important right we have as citizens, expensive and bureaucratic--for solely stupid and political reasons. It is voter suppression. As you prepare to undertake your next chapter, I hope you will carry through your obligation to stand up for your constituents here in Michigan. By protecting our most fundamental rights.
