Demand Immediate FBI Investigation of Allegations in Epstein Files

To: Rep. Walberg, Sen. Slotkin, Sen. Peters

From: A constituent in Stevensville, MI

December 26

I am writing to demand immediate action regarding serious allegations contained in newly released FBI documents from the Jeffrey Epstein files. These documents include a statement from a woman who told the FBI that Donald Trump was present when her uncle murdered her newborn child and disposed of the body in Lake Michigan in 1984, when she was 13 years old. The woman stated that Trump "participated regularly in paying money to force me to [redacted] with him and he was present when my uncle murdered my newborn child and disposed of the body in Lake Michigan." It remains unclear whether the FBI ever investigated these allegations. Given the gravity of these claims, which involve the murder of a child and sex trafficking of a minor, a thorough investigation is essential regardless of who is accused. No one should be above the law, and allegations of this severity demand a complete and transparent investigation. The Department of Justice announced the discovery of over 1 million documents related to Epstein on Wednesday but violated federal law by refusing to release all files by the required December 19 deadline. The DOJ stated the release will take months. This delay is unacceptable when documents contain allegations of child murder and sex trafficking. The public has a right to know what federal law enforcement knew and when they knew it. I urge you to take immediate action to ensure that the FBI conducts a full investigation into these allegations and that the DOJ complies with federal law by releasing all Epstein files without further delay. Congress must hold the DOJ accountable for missing the December 19 deadline and consider legal consequences for this noncompliance. The integrity of our justice system depends on equal application of the law and thorough investigation of credible allegations, particularly those involving crimes against children.
