On this frigid January 28th, I write you yet again to demand that you do everything in your power as legislator to demand that the Department of Justice follows the law you created. They must release the Epstein files and they must provide reasonable justifications to any and all redactions that appear in the materials they release.
The DOJ must be held accountable to the law, as we all used to be in this country - recently, we see plenty of evidence that government, corporations, and wealthy citizens are allowed to operate by a different set of rules. If you believe that we should be a nation of laws, you will take action. Your silence will indicate that you are complicit in the erosion of what used to make this a great country.
I receive responses, often unsatisfactory, to the communications I send to your office. I receive responses on a variety of issues and policies. When it comes to any communication I send you regarding the Epstein files, however, your office only gives me silence in return. I encourage you to state your position publicly so that your constituents will know where you stand.
I urge you to take action to make the DOJ accountable to the law.
