SUPPORT for CONTINUING SHUTDOWN - indefinitely if required
To: Sen. Warnock, Sen. Ossoff
From: A constituent in Atlanta, GA
October 3, 2025
I wish to express my support for the government shutdown and hope you will continue to hold the line on this important issue. Democratic leadership has done very little to demonstrate how grave things are in real, tangible ways. This shutdown is an excellent opportunity for Americans to experience the Trump-Vought plan up front, personally, and not “at a trickle” …. and to also demonstrate how there is no point in agreeing to anything with this administration because they simply do not honor agreements nor do they plan to follow precedent by properly funding, paying, and executing the programs which you have authorized as our representatives. Please continue to hold the line, even if it means the government is shut down until well into 2026. Keep it shut down until the 2026 election if that’s what it takes. It’s never a good time to take this kind of a stand, and people will be hurt and winter is the worst timing, but sadly, Schumer already ruined the first and best opportunity only to provide arguments and talking points to Trump and the Speaker this time.
