You need to say publicly what your constituents already know: this president's behavior is not normal, and treating it as such is a political choice. At a September 11 memorial, Trump claimed firefighters physically carried him from Ground Zero. He posts images declaring the Strait of Hormuz a US territory and renaming New Mexico "New America." This isn't eccentricity. It's a pattern of detachment from reality that is accelerating.
The consequences are real. Canada just announced retaliatory tariffs on US imports. Iran is expanding strikes on US oil interests in the Gulf. Trump's only response to resistance is to escalate, because as analyst Paul Waldman wrote, "the only thing he can think of is to do the same thing, only harder." That's not a governing strategy. That's a crisis.
Corporate media are normalizing this because they fear retaliation. You don't have that excuse. Speak plainly about what you're witnessing, demand congressional oversight, and stop waiting for the press to do the work your office is supposed to do.
