With the government funding ending at the end of September, I urge you to vote against further funding for the government. A stand must be taken against this fascist regime. They are burning through vast sums of money to illegally detain and disappear people without due process. They are spending vast sums of money to deploy troops in American cities! They are spending money to gerrymander the midterms and restrict voting. The list goes on, but the message is clear. Funding the government empowers Trump and his fascist regime and followers to destroy our democratic Republic and instill a dictatorship. He has impounded congressionally appropriated funds in various areas that would benefit the American people. His regime is restricting medicine and vaccines with Kennedy's ridiculous claims and conspiracy theories. He has withheld humanitarian aid to allies and others in the world. He has withheld funds and defense to Ukraine. All of these monies were approved by Congress. It is time for leaders in Congress on the Democratic side of the aisle to resist vigorously! Take the McConnell Playbook that he used against Obama. Make noise and demand changes. Demand Congress to do what was intended in the Constitution and act as an oversight body and check and balance to the other two branches. This Congress, led by MAGA, has been a rubber stamp and has relinquished their powers and not honored their oaths. Democrats need to make a stand and make some noise! The time for passively dissenting has passed. Please, please take a stronger stance and do not let this regime continue down the path to authoritarianism. The press, industry, law firms, higher education have all buckled to the Mafia boss in the White House. They allow themselves to be extorted and cowed to him. The Supreme Court, stacked with radical right judges can no longer be trusted to administer the law. What is left?? The Democrats in Congress and those protesting what is happening. We need strong and decisive action and leadership from you and I hope you deliver. Thank you.
