I’m writing about a demeaning political message I saw on the small business administration’s website.
Excerpt from TODAY:
“Senate Democrats voted to block a clean federal funding bill (H.R. 5371), leading to a government shutdown that is preventing the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) from serving America’s 36 million small businesses.
Every day that Senate Democrats continue to oppose a clean funding bill, they are stopping an estimated 320 small businesses from accessing $170 million in SBA-guaranteed funding.”
Government agencies are not supposed to take a political stance. Not only is it ethically , this is a violation of the hatch act. The Senator has oversight authority which she should use. She must demand that SBA leadership remove the current outrageous message as well as demand that the SBA implement safeguards to prevent similar violations in the future.
Thank you.
