I'm appalled by the detachment of those in power. It’s easy for you to dismiss the need for a living wage when you’re raking in over $200k a year while the rest of us are left homeless and struggling to survive. It's time to put a Living Wage into law and hold employers accountable for paying us wages that cover our basic needs—housing, food, transportation, insurance, childcare, and everything else necessary for survival. Earning $14-15 an hour is simply not sufficient anymore! If conditions do not improve for those of us who are the backbone of this society, we will demand accountability from people like you first! You will all face the consequences of retaliation from the working class.
