Kash Patel's concerning rhetoric and actions make him an unacceptable choice to lead the FBI as its director. Patel has compiled an "enemies list" labeling numerous current and former government officials, including top intelligence and Justice Department leaders from both parties, as part of a supposed "deep state" conspiracy against American democracy. He has called for targeting not only these officials but also members of the media whom he accuses of spreading disinformation and rigging elections. Such inflammatory language and unsubstantiated accusations are antithetical to the principles of an independent law enforcement agency like the FBI, which must remain non-partisan and focused on upholding the rule of law impartially. Patel's extreme partisan views and apparent willingness to weaponize federal law enforcement for political vendettas raise grave concerns about his ability to lead the Bureau with integrity. Furthermore, Patel's strident rhetoric goes far beyond acceptable bounds of political discourse and could potentially incite violence against those he has branded enemies of the state. An FBI director espousing such divisive and inflammatory rhetoric would severely undermine public trust in the Bureau and the fair administration of justice. For these reasons, I urge you to reject Kash Patel's nomination as FBI Director in order to protect the independence, impartiality and public standing of this crucial law enforcement agency. The American people deserve an FBI leader committed to upholding the rule of law without regard to partisan politics or personal vendettas.
