Representative Guest: Vote Against Continuing the Iran War
To: Rep. Guest
From: A verified voter in Starkville, MS
June 4
Representative Guest, stop the strikes on Iran and work toward a peaceful resolution. This war is useless — it has only gotten us back to where we started, except now we've killed over 150 children and handed our adversaries a moral victory by striking first. That is not strength. That is a self-inflicted defeat.
Voting against the war powers resolution was a disappointment, and I expect better going forward. Every continued strike creates more enemies, inflames the region, and raises the real risk of a broader conflict that pulls the entire world in. This posturing isn't protecting your constituents — it's making their lives worse and their futures less secure.
If there is any chance Iran can move past what we did, it requires accountability and diplomacy, not more aggression. Admit the mistake, end the strikes, and push for an amicable resolution before this becomes something none of us can walk back.
