There is no need, constitutional basis, or actual ability for the executive branch of the federal government to establish a "national voter list." This, like all of Trump's electoral hobby horses, is a blatant attempt to preemptively delegitimize any election results he does not want to accept. Elections are the purview of the states, per our constitution. An administration so willfully ignorant to the functions of our federal, state, county, and municipal governments and the complexity of these systems has no business interfering and no capacity to make improvements. They don't even know how to subpoena ballots in our state. A federal government obsessed with compiling lists of targets and breaking long established systems is not acceptable.
