KOSA is a privacy nightmare-stop supporting it

To: Rep. Burlison, Sen. Schmitt, Sen. Hawley

From: A constituent in Springfield, MO

March 6

When the United Kingdom passed an age verification law, the results were immediately disastrous for both citizens of the UK and citizens of Europe. Overnight, thousands of people had their private data leaked. 70,000 Discord users reported having their identities leaked. US states who have passed age verification laws have had personal data leaked. KOSA is a privacy nightmare. The CEO of Persona, an age-verification software, has even stated: “keeping minors away from inappropriate content is a household-level problem and sacrificing broad privacy is not a good bargain”. Parents, not the government, need to be monitoring what their children look at on the internet. If you believe in American values such as freedom and privacy, do not support KOSA. Your constituents are watching.
