Congratulations on winning your seats for the incoming House and Senate. Now for the real work to begin. It is absolutely clear given the historic wins across the country that we are tired of the same old politics. To see this election as anything but a clear repudiation of Trump/MAGA politics is shortsighted. Yes, we want you to fix costs and medical care and the environment. Everything you ran on. But there needs to be accountability too. The damage that has been done by republicans skullduggery and democrats being apathetic or wanting it to be “business as usual” in Washington is how we got Trump 2.0. It is incumbent on you to make sure this new mandate does the dual duty of repairing and holding those who did this damage accountable. I see nothing in how Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries have been acting these past 2 years to give me any hope of them being effective leaders for this movement. I am imploring you to find new leadership in both the house and senate, someone who will absolutely fight for ALL and not just the establishment democrats that helped them by lining their pockets. Enough is enough. We need generational change. Not just for one election cycle.
