The United States should halt all arms sales and military aid to Israel given the escalating violence and human rights violations against Palestinians in the occupied territories. Providing Israel with over $3.8 billion in annual military assistance enables and condones its oppressive policies of forced displacement, home demolitions, and deadly use of force against civilians. International law and human rights norms demand an end to Israel's illegal occupation and subjugation of Palestinians. Continuing our complicity in these grave injustices undermines America's credibility as a force for peace and democracy globally. A firm stance withholding military support is necessary to pressure Israel to respect Palestinian rights and restart meaningful negotiations toward a just resolution based on equal rights and self-determination for both peoples.
