These records were previously accessible and reportedly contained references to Donald J. Trump. They are now absent without explanation. This removal appears to be a direct violation of the statute governing the Epstein records release, which required the Department of Justice to make these materials publicly available. Quietly altering or retracting records after publication—especially without notice, justification, or court order—undermines both the law and public trust. The public has a clear and compelling interest in knowing whether records involving a sitting or former president were lawfully disclosed and, if so, why they were subsequently removed. Any selective withholding or post hoc redaction raises serious concerns about political interference, evidentiary integrity, and unequal application of transparency requirements. I request that you: 1. Initiate a formal inquiry into when, why, and by whose authority these documents were removed. 2. Require the DOJ to account for the discrepancy between previously available records and the current portal contents. 3. Compel the immediate restoration of all lawfully releasable documents, consistent with the governing statute. 4. Ensure preservation of all related records to prevent further alteration or spoliation. Transparency is not optional, and compliance with the law is not discretionary.
