Reject discriminatory SAVE Act, protect voting rights

To: Sen. Schumer, Sen. Gillibrand, Rep. Morelle

From: A constituent in Fairport, NY

April 14

The proposed SAVE Act would severely restrict voting rights for millions of Americans by imposing stringent documentary requirements for voter registration. This misguided legislation risks disenfranchising citizens who lack easy access to documents like birth certificates or passports, disproportionately impacting people of color, the elderly, low-income individuals, and those with disabilities. Creating unnecessary barriers to the fundamental right to vote undermines the integrity of our democracy. I urge you to reject the SAVE Act and uphold the sacred principle of ensuring all eligible citizens can freely exercise their constitutional right to vote without facing discriminatory obstacles.
