I stand with physicians, nurses and everyone in the health community against the pillaging of HHS by RFK Jr. His cut first and check if he meant to cut it later tactics are reckless and unpopular. He admit it himself when he told a reporter that his method is necessary instead of reviewing line by line since that would “lose political momentum”! I am appalled by the gutting of the CDC. What happens when we have another COVID pandemic? I am shocked by the slashing of NIH funding, just because science discovers things he doesn’t personally agree with! Every dollar invested in the NIH generates $2.56 of economic activity and more importantly saves millions of lives from suicide prevent, opioid addiction prevention and treatment, to cancer research. I am deeply saddened by the cuts to nicotine use prevention programs. It’s a huge giveaway to tobacco companies. If RFK Jr is so worried about chemicals in food coloring and something that MIGHT be in measles vaccines, why is he green lighting cigarettes that contain thousands of dangerous chemicals and are highly addictive! RFK Jr is a danger to the lives of millions of Americans. Please do everything in your power to stop his nonsense. Thank you for your work for the American people and for putting people before profits.
