I am writing to urge you to publicly denounce the current U.S. involvement in the war with Iran. The United States and Israel began joint airstrikes inside Iran on February 28, launching attacks across multiple Iranian cities and triggering a wider regional conflict.
Americans are horrified that our tax dollars are being used to fund this war. At a time when millions of Americans are already struggling with rising costs, housing, healthcare, and basic necessities, it is unacceptable to pour billions of dollars into another Middle East conflict.
These attacks on Iran are unjustified and reckless. They risk dragging the United States into yet another endless war while wasting American resources that should be used to support our own people here at home. The economic consequences are already being felt globally, with rising energy prices and economic instability.
Americans do not want another war. We do not want our country involved in military campaigns that serve foreign interests while ordinary Americans are left dealing with economic hardship.
Congress must speak clearly. I urge you to publicly denounce this war, oppose further escalation, and demand an immediate halt to U.S. involvement in these attacks. Our government’s first responsibility is to the American people, not to expanding conflicts overseas.
