An Open Letter

To: Sen. Gillibrand, Sen. Schumer

From: A constituent in Little Neck, NY

June 22

Today, former President Trump bombed Iran. We are no longer approaching war. We are in it. I am writing to you in fear, heartbreak, and disbelief. The United States has now entered another war in the Middle East, led by someone who has consistently shown disregard for human life, international stability, and the long-term safety of this country. I am devastated by what this means for all of us - for American families, for innocent people abroad, and for every person who will suffer the consequences of this decision. At home, it already feels like we are barely holding on. Political division, violence, misinformation, and fear are already tearing at the seams of our country. And now, we are being dragged into a global conflict that could spiral into something far worse. This is not leadership. It is not protection. It is chaos and destruction, and we cannot afford it. I am pleading with you to act. Speak out. Demand accountability. Refuse to support or fund this war. Impeach trump and get the bloodthirsty psycho out of power. Call this what it is reckless and dangerous, and do everything within your power to stop it from getting worse. Please do not remain silent.
