As a registered Democrat in North Tonawanda, Niagara County who never misses the chance to vote, I am urging you to hold strong against the Republicans and never agree to throw more money at ICE and Border Patrol, especially after Border Patrol literally let Rohingya refugee Shah Alam freeze to death, then attempted to cover it up. These untrained thugs have little care for human life, lie consistently, even when camera footage shows that they were lying, and are fine with letting a disabled blind man wander around in thin clothing, prison booties, and no way to contact his family, in a freezing Buffalo winter night. Not only that, there are atrocities being committed in the detention camp in Batavia, and people in Western New York disappearing. A church friend shared a prayer request for a student of hers, the child's parents are GONE, disappeared, by ICE. My mom was a Cuban exile. This is the horror that Fidel Castro inflicted on his people. Really, we are reduced to two-bit dictator antics? With a weak, ineffective Democratic party? This is unacceptable in a supposedly democratic country, and we constituents are sick and tired of the Democratic Party song and dance. This time, pretending you are standing up when the GOP is planning to use the reconciliation process to get around the Democrats. And you all know this. And so do we. DEFUND ICE. We do NOT need untrained hooligans with guns running around our neighborhoods. We are sick, and tired, of the weak spineless Congress that we are left with. What an embarrassment. And the voters, we will not support you if you leave us to the mercy of these violent criminals because you want to play political games and are too chicken to stand up to donors and Trump. Yes, we know you all have many of the same donors. We are educated. We are tired. We won't support any of you in the midterms if you continue to fail your constituents. Pretending to support American families is just as bad as actively destroying us. Thank you for your time. I hope you grow a spine.
