An Open Letter

To: Sen. Hagerty, Sen. Blackburn

From: A verified voter in Nashville, TN

November 30

In the past 90 days, the United States has murdered approximately 80 foreign citizens in international waters under the guise of claiming they were drug traffickers transporting illicit drugs on the way to the US. The Trump administration has provided no proof that there were drugs on any of these boats, nor have they provided the names of those killed. It is likely an international war crime to mead out death penalty judgements without providing those killed with the opportunity to defend themselves. This is NOT who we are, and you know it. You voted to confirm Pete Hegseth as Secretary of Defense in spite of his lack of qualifications. In light of Sec Hegseth’s recent verbal order to kill any / all remaining survivors of the most recent boat attack, you now have a moral and legal responsibility to call for Mr Hegseth’s resignation, and to call for a full and open investigation of the apparently criminal non-judicial killings he has ordered our military to commit. I expect you to call for his resignation and a full and open investigation immediately. Your constituents demand it, and the law requires it.
