Please Keep Fighting for Federal Workers and Families in Georgia
To: Sen. Ossoff, Sen. Warnock
From: A constituent in Woodstock, GA
September 27, 2025
I want to thank you for your continued support of federal workers and families here in Georgia. As a constituent and a parent of small children, I am deeply concerned about the looming threat of a government shutdown. Families in Georgia cannot afford more instability, higher costs, or the loss of essential services we rely on.
While politicians are playing games, real Americans’ jobs, paychecks, and access to vital services are being threatened by a potential shutdown. On top of that, recent announcements about pursuing another “Schedule F/DOGE-like” round of illegal mass firings would only add to the trauma federal workers have already endured.
Federal employees are not bargaining chips. They are veterans, caregivers, law enforcement officers, and neighbors who serve our communities every day. They deserve stability and respect, not pink slips and political games.
I urge you to:
• Continue pressing leadership to negotiate in good faith and keep the government open.
• Stand firmly against any illegal impoundments, job cuts, or union attacks.
• Stop any effort to fire federal workers. This is awful and painful to see. These workers have families, and with fewer new jobs available and the cost of living rising, they need protection, not layoffs.
• Center federal workers and Georgia families in every budget and shutdown negotiation.
Please keep lifting up the voices of Georgians like me who depend on these services and need stability. Everything is already expensive, and families cannot afford added uncertainty or unemployment. We need solutions and we are counting on you to keep fighting for us.
Thank you for your leadership and for being a champion for Georgia families and workers.
