The ongoing efforts to restrict transgender individuals from serving in the military are deeply concerning. Discrimination based on gender identity not only violates fundamental civil rights but also deprives our armed forces of dedicated and capable service members. Numerous studies have shown that allowing transgender personnel to serve openly has minimal impact on unit cohesion or military readiness. Instead of perpetuating harmful biases, we should promote an inclusive environment where all qualified Americans can honorably defend our nation. I urge you to stand firmly against any policies that target and marginalize the transgender community within our military. Their ability to serve should be judged solely on their merit and commitment to the oath they have sworn.
