Dear Senators, as a very concerned American citizen, I urge you to pull our troops out of Iran. For one, we have no need to get involved there. Their battle is their own, not ours. We have been involved in the Middle East before, and it obviously did not end well. This conflict that we have gotten involved with could lead us to a third world war, as I hope you have considered. There are many parallels of this situation that could be drawn to the Second World war. Violated promises, unnecessary involvement, etc. We need to end our involvement in this before it becomes a global conflict. Two or three weeks ago, a military base in Britain was bombed. How much more of a wakeup call do you need? I know you did not approve this war, trust me. I know a higher, more ignorant power went over the heads of congress and decided to play catch with nuclear weapons. But I am asking that you please exercise the power that your positions have granted you to stop this war. Senators, I am about to turn seventeen years old. I do not want to see my country torn apart by a global war. And we do not need any more of our servicemembers or innocent Iranian citizens to be killed. I greatly appreciate any consideration you might give to my plea.
