Your vote to confirm Adam Clayton as DNI is a craven betrayal of decency, integrity, and adherence to the truth. ...............................................Clayton is an election denier who refused to confirm that Joe Biden won the 2020 election. That fact alone should have been enough to prevent his candidacy from even moving out of committee. But look, Clayton's recent decision to subpoena NYT journalists is an even more shocking betrayal of the constitution and tradition. On top of both recent data points, Clayton's lack of appropriate experience alone should have been disqualifying. ............................................................................................ Please reply to explain what changed between 2016 when you wrote an op ed about why Trump was unfit for the presidency and July 2026 when you are all in for Trump's nominees and usurpation of congressional powers.......................................................... What did Trump do to convince you? ..................................................And please explain why you opined about Graham Platner's personal relationships and had words about Al Franken but have nothing to say about whether far worse conduct by Max Miller, Pete Hegseth, and Bret Kavanaugh should exclude them from office? I suggest you reread some speeches by Margaret Chase Smith and get some idea about what it means to stand up for the constitution and to uphold basic standards of human decency.
