An Open Letter

To: Sen. Schiff, Rep. Issa, Sen. Padilla

**Ban Congressional Stock Trading Now** Pass a ban on individual stock trading by members of Congress. The conflict of interest is obvious: legislators who trade stocks in industries they regulate cannot be trusted to make decisions in the public's interest. This isn't a partisan issue — it's a basic question of whether elected officials work for their constituents or their portfolios. The STOCK Act was supposed to address this, but it hasn't stopped members from profiting off information the rest of us don't have. I want to see you co-sponsor and actively push for legislation that prohibits members of Congress and their immediate family members from buying or selling individual stocks while in office. Blind trusts or index funds are the standard — hold Congress to it.
