Furthermore, his public alignment Trump's agenda—such as defending a controversial $1.8 billion "Anti-Weaponization" fund and promoting election conspiracy theories—demonstrates a troubling lack of the objective, rational judgment required for this role. With critical decisions ahead regarding the reauthorization and necessary privacy reforms of FISA Section 702, our intelligence agencies cannot afford leaderless or unqualified oversight. I urge you to soundly reject Jay Clayton’s nomination and demand a qualified nominee who possesses the necessary intelligence experience to safeguard our country.
