I am writing to demand that you immediately initiate impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance for their unconscionable betrayal of Ukraine and deliberate abandonment of American national security interests. The Trump administration is actively negotiating Ukraine's surrender to Russia through unqualified political operatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. These individuals possess no diplomatic credentials, no foreign policy experience, and no business determining the fate of a democratic nation under genocidal assault. Witkoff is a real estate developer. Kushner's extensive business dealings and financial entanglements create profound conflicts of interest that disqualify him from any role in these negotiations. Yet Trump has empowered them to negotiate with Putin's representatives while Russia continues its brutal campaign of mass murder. Russia launched 653 drones and 51 missiles into Ukraine overnight on Saturday alone, killing civilians as these Miami talks proceeded. Putin publicly declared he is ready to "fight to the last Ukrainian" while demanding Ukraine withdraw from its own sovereign territory. Russia attacked 29 Ukrainian locations in a single night while Trump's envoys worked to legitimize this violence through a sham peace process. Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has made clear that "only a dignified peace provides real security" and that Ukraine cannot accept any deal without concrete security guarantees from the United States. Trump is ignoring these requirements and pressuring Ukraine to accept terms that reward Putin's war crimes and territorial conquest through violence. This is not diplomacy. This is capitulation to an authoritarian dictator who has killed hundreds of thousands, displaced millions, and openly threatens American allies. Trump and Vance are betraying their constitutional oath and undermining the international order that has protected American interests since World War II. Congress has the constitutional authority and moral obligation to remove officials who betray their office. I demand that you support articles of impeachment and vote to remove both Trump and Vance immediately.
