I urge you to vote no to any bill threatening Sarah McBride’s ability to fulfill her constitutional and elected duties in Washington, which will necessarily include easy to access public restrooms.
The fact of the matter is that trans women are far more likely to be victims of crimes than be any threats whatsoever, and Sarah McBride is a well known public figure highly trusted by her constituents. She is not a threat. Nor was there any concern about trans people using bathrooms in Washington prior to her election; they already do, without incident. And—I say this as a woman—women’s bathrooms have private stalls, so no one using the restroom will see anything they would not see anywhere else in public. It is, simply, a non issue. Please preserve the dignity of Congress and the election results of the American people by keeping the system exactly as it is, and voting no to rules designed to target something that is truly a non issue. Women do not care if McBride uses our restroom.
Thank you.
