Hello, I would like to have you looking into why GLP-1 medications for weight management are slowly being removed from plan formularies as being not covered, and when it is covered, the majority copay is over $100. and paying out of pocket is not feasible. There is a weight management issue in the country and Dr.s are prescribing Wegovy, Saxenda, and Zepbound but more plans are removing the coverage and it's looks to me as if weight loss management is being denied to people who cannot pay the high copay. In this economic time where the disproportionate divide of wealth is making every dollar matter, I see this as another way to prevent US Citizens from finding a path to healthy living. The food we are supposed to eat healthy with is too expensive to buy and the only option is pre made food that has who knows what additives. $20.00 in groceries does not provide me with a week of healthy living. So at every turn where a US Citizen tries to do the right thing, the cost is what prevents it and those who hold access denies it. How is this not exclusion by financial status? The medication exists to reduce excess weight to those who have issues with getting the extra energy up to do anything more than survive and is being systematically denied. The nutrition is there but expensive because 'organic grown' is some form of marketing plot to gouge and extra 20% out of the customer. The dollar stores now have more groceries sections as they are cheaper, but not healthier.
This form of population control should not exist as everyone should have the opportunity to become healthy without having to go bankrupt in the process. Please look into these issues and see if there is a bill that can be brought together that will finally benefit the people and not the corporations who feel the need that all stores are company stores as the financial districts buy up all the housing. When they control all of it, we shall see tbe wonderful county of Walmart pop up, with the great state of Amazon forming on its heels. I don't want that and you will be out of a job because when the corporations take over.. Well, watch the 1980s version of the Robocop series.. Old Detroit is starting to look like current events.
