I'm calling on you to support impeachment proceedings against President Trump, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and Vice President Vance for their decision to lift sanctions on Russian and Iranian oil. This is a betrayal of American national security and our allies. The administration just authorized the purchase of Russian oil for one month, handing Vladimir Putin a financial lifeline while he wages war in Ukraine. They followed that by lifting sanctions on Iranian oil already at sea through April 19, 2025, potentially freeing up 140 million barrels. We're literally funding two of our greatest adversaries during active conflicts. The justification that this addresses high oil prices is absurd. Trump already released 172 million barrels from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. If that wasn't enough, there are other options that don't involve enriching hostile regimes. Iran is currently attacking shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and Trump just bombed Kharg Island last week. Now we're buying their oil? This isn't economic policy. It's giving aid and comfort to enemies of the United States. Russia gets cash to continue killing Ukrainians. Iran gets revenue while threatening American interests in the Middle East. That's grounds for impeachment. Start the proceedings.
