The ultra-wealthy in this country have rigged the system in their favor, and I need you to do something about it. Billionaires like Jeff Bezos pay lower effective tax rates than teachers and nurses while owning newspapers that run editorials defending their own tax breaks. That's not a free press — that's a megaphone for the ruling class.
I want you to support a meaningful billionaire wealth tax. Not a watered-down proposal that gets gutted in committee — a real tax on unrealized gains and accumulated wealth above $1 billion. The rest of us pay taxes on every paycheck. There's no justification for letting the ultra-wealthy sit on trillion-dollar fortunes and call it "investment."
