An Open Letter

To: Sen. Tuberville, Rep. Palmer, Sen. Britt

From: A constituent in Birmingham, AL

June 16

Dear Representative, As a constituent, I’m concerned about the Social Security funding shortfall. The 2026 Trustees Report shows the OASI trust fund is now projected to be depleted by late 2032, leaving millions of seniors at risk of sharp benefit cuts. I strongly support the Bipartisan Social Security Commission Act. Creating an independent commission to develop a workable solvency plan and requiring an up-or-down vote in Congress is exactly the kind of practical, non-partisan approach we need. Please co-sponsor this legislation and make protecting Social Security for current and future retirees a top priority. Thank you for your service to our district. Sincerely,
