DO NOT FUND ICE Dear Senator, This Republican administration appears to believe that Americans have no meaningful protection against federal force, even in their own homes, and that federal immigration agents can use lethal violence without real accountability. Recent events prove how dangerous these assumptions are. In Minneapolis, federal immigration agents have killed U.S. citizens during enforcement operations, triggering national outrage and bipartisan concern about unchecked immigration enforcement.  According to data analyst G. Elliott Morris, Donald Trump’s approval on immigration has fallen roughly 18 points since taking office, while public opinion on abolishing ICE has shifted by about 50 points since 2024.  “Reform” is no longer credible. This administration has shown it does not understand meaningful accountability, nor does it appear willing to impose it on ICE. When a federal agency repeatedly engages in lethal violence under disputed circumstances and shields itself from oversight, the responsible response is not incremental reform—it is dismantling the agency and rebuilding something fundamentally different. I urge you to vote NO on continued congressional funding for ICE and to support abolishing the agency and starting over with a system that respects the rule of law and human life. Please vote no on extending the budget to include ICE—under any configuration.
