Thank you for your recent vote alongside Democrats supporting the amendment to bar Bill Pulte from serving as temporary Director of National Intelligence.
I appreciate your willingness to challenge his qualifications and protect the integrity of our intelligence community.
However, I am disappointed that you voted to advance the FISA reauthorization. That should not happen until Bill Pulte has been completely removed from his post and meaningful privacy protections are added.
The administration’s attempts to install an unqualified partisan to oversee our nation’s most sensitive data highlight exactly why strict guardrails are necessary.
Congress must close the data broker loophole and end warrantless searches so that the intelligence community cannot be weaponized to surveil American citizens.
Data privacy is incredibly important to me as a constituent, and I will be watching your upcoming votes on this matter closely.
