Kennedy unfit for HHS; resign over anti-vaccine misinformation

To: Sen. Schatz, Sen. Hirono, Rep. Tokuda

From: A constituent in Kula, HI

April 19

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has proven himself unfit to serve as Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS). His stance on vaccines and promotion of harmful misinformation directly endangers public health and undermines the crucial mission of the agency. The recent measles outbreak has resulted in multiple preventable deaths, including children, yet Kennedy dismissed it as "not unusual" and made unfounded claims about vaccines causing illness. His actions, such as canceling vaccine clinics and suppressing CDC reports emphasizing vaccination, have exacerbated this crisis. Furthermore, his politically motivated oversight and censorship of research erodes scientific integrity within HHS. The mass firing of thousands of public health experts without replacements cripples the agency's ability to function effectively. Kennedy has disregarded his duty to uphold science-based policies and radical transparency, instead choosing to advance an agenda rooted in pseudoscience at the expense of public well-being. For the safety of all Americans, he must resign immediately to allow for new leadership committed to evidence-based practices and the health of the nation.
