Demand equal application of law for public officials

To: Rep. Spencer, Sen. Moody, Sen. Arrington, Sen. Scott, Rep. Soto, Pres. Trump, Gov. DeSantis

From: A verified voter in Kissimmee, FL

February 16, 2025

The decision by the Justice Department to drop charges against Eric Adams raises serious concerns about accountability and the equal application of the law. As public officials, it is imperative that our leaders are held to the highest ethical standards and face consequences for any wrongdoing. Allowing Adams to avoid prosecution sends a troubling message that those in power can act with impunity. I urge a thorough and impartial review of the evidence against Adams, and a reconsideration of the decision to drop charges. No one should be above the law, regardless of their position or status.
