Oppose Trump's Executive Order Undermining Childhood Vaccine Recommendations
To: Rep. Casar, Sen. Cruz, Sen. Cornyn
From: A constituent in Manor, TX
August 11
Come out publicly against Trump's August 10th executive order gutting childhood vaccine recommendations. This order is built on a lie — decades of scientific evidence has found no link between vaccines and autism, and no amount of presidential repetition makes that false claim true. Children are already dying. The U.S. is in the middle of its worst measles outbreak in decades, and this order will make it worse.
Splitting the MMR into three separate shots means three separate appointments, three chances for a child to fall through the cracks. Health experts have been clear that this raises the risk of missed immunizations. Trump himself admitted it's inconvenient, then offered no real plan to help families cover multiple co-pays. This isn't a policy — it's a public health crisis dressed up as parental choice.
Reverse course on this order and say so loudly. Vaccine-preventable diseases are not a political abstraction. They kill children. Your constituents need you to stand on the side of science and act now.
