Don’t vote for the current budget proposal

To: Rep. Bresnahan, Sen. McCormick, Sen. Fetterman

From: A constituent in Kingston, PA

May 17

The bill proposes cuts to Medicaid and increases taxes for low-income individuals, while providing tax breaks for wealthy corporations and the top 1%. This disproportionately burdens vulnerable populations struggling to make ends meet. Instead of balancing the budget on the backs of the less fortunate, we should raise taxes on the wealthiest Americans and close corporate tax loopholes to fund essential social services and investments that benefit all. A more equitable approach focused on bolstering the middle class and protecting critical safety net programs is urgently needed.
