Hegseth's Pentagon chaos, leaks, & Signalgate endanger national security. Act
To: Sen. King, Rep. Golden, Sen. Collins

We haven't forgotten Signalgate.
Now there there are daily news items which show that Peter Hegseth is unfit to remain in office.
Leaks. More security breaches. Shedding staff. Per Politico:
The changes will leave Hegseth without a chief of staff, deputy chief of staff, or senior adviser in his front office...'There is a complete meltdown in the building, and this is really reflecting on the secretary’s leadership."
Leaks in recent weeks, apart from Signalgate, are numerous and disturbing: they include the disclosure of (hypothetical?) military plans for the Panama Canal, U.S. carrier movement in the Middle East, the halting of intelligence gathering on behalf of Ukraine, and a briefing at the Pentagon with Elon Musk.
It's clear that our troops and our national security are endangered by this apparent culture of disregard for rules about classified information.
Do your job, please.
Oversight, hearings, investigations, impeachment.
Please take our national security and the safety of our armed forces seriously.
I should not even have to ask this: I am as appalled by Congressional inaction as I am by the grave implications of this chaos around Hegseth at the pentagon.
