An Open Letter

To: Rep. Jayapal, Sen. Cantwell, Sen. Murray

From: A constituent in Seattle, WA

Defend Voting By Mail, long a trustworthy and dependable Washington state staple! The current US postal service is considering changing its rules to not carry mail for states that do not share voter rolls with the federal government. This is an unconscionable, and frankly ridiculous, attack on our rights as Washingtonians on all sides of the political spectrum. We’ve long-known that Mail-in voting is effective and safe, and our state administers it quite well without interference from the federal government (which is how elections work). Please stand up to these attacks that affect Washingtonians of all stripes and protect our voting rights!
