I am writing out of profound concern for Trump’s target use of the military in civilian areas. While it is all troubling, specifically I am concerned by his recent social media post that shows him dressed in the likeness of Lieutenant Colonel Bill Kilgore from the 1979 film Apocalypse Now in front of the Chicago skyline with military helicopters and flames and the caption “Chipocalypse Now.” His post further read, “‘I love the smell of deportations in the morning…’ Chicago about to find out why it’s called the Department of WAR.” At any other time in American history, under control of either party, this would be impeachment worthy. My question to you, as my elected official, is why that is not the case now?
