The Department of Education helps guarantee support for students with disabilities, enforces Title IX protections, and directs federal funding to schools and students who need it most. Its elimination would be a disastrous step backward. I urge you to reject this irresponsible legislation and safeguard the future of education in the United States. Please confirm that you will oppose any efforts to abolish the Department of Education.
