An Open Letter

To: Sen. Moreno, Rep. Balderson, Sen. Husted, Pres. Trump

From: A constituent in Reynoldsburg, OH

April 15

Donald Trump has recently claimed credit for the CHIPS Act, despite it being signed into law by President Biden in 2022. Some Republican lawmakers argue that the act was initially inspired by efforts during Trump's administration to boost semiconductor manufacturing in the U.S. It's no surprise Trump is quick to take credit for all the benefits from the CHIPS Act, though. Nvidia manufacturing in the U.S. via TSMC, which received $12B in funding, is one such example. There are many more. Stay vigilant. We don't need people believing failing trade policies are actually effective. That is the path to further economic hardship.
