Our civil service is under attack by the an aspiring dictator in the White House. Our civil servants provide countless critical functions to keep our day to day lives running smoothly. These include the nurses and other staff who work at the VA and take care of our active and former military members. Republicans love to brand themselves as caring for our vets, yet they’re willing to freeze and cut funding to the VA and would negatively affect its patients and staff. Trump seems to take issue with the civil service because it is non-partisan, not loyal specifically to him, and is one of the vital stop gaps in the system. This is completely unacceptable. We as a people, through our representatives have built up the civil service since the 1800’s and we don’t want it threatened. They help keep us safe and perform critical functions to keep our country running more smoothly. Stand up to attacks on our civil servants by the dictatorial Trump!
