I am writing to demand the immediate disbanding of the federal “faith office” and any similar initiatives that use government resources to support or coordinate with religious organizations. The existence of such an office is a direct violation of the First Amendment and the fundamental principle of separation of church and state.
Our Constitution’s Establishment Clause is clear: the government must not endorse, fund, or privilege any religion. By maintaining a federal faith office, the government not only blurs the line between church and state, but also risks favoritism, coercion, and the erosion of religious freedom for all Americans. This is not merely a theoretical concern—history shows that government entanglement with religion leads to discrimination, division, and the undermining of both religious and secular rights.
Faith-based groups can and do serve their communities, but they must do so independently of government sponsorship or special treatment. No taxpayer dollars should be used to support religious agendas, and no government office should exist to coordinate religious activities.
I urge you to take immediate action to disband the federal faith office and restore the clear constitutional boundaries that protect both government neutrality and true religious liberty.
Thank you for your urgent attention to this critical issue.
