Ours is a government based on a system of checks and balances. War and lethal attacks are the most serious actions of our government. In the Constitution and under our laws these actions are subject to Congressional oversight. 64 people have died so far in unauthorized strikes on alleged drug smuggling boats (without any evidence and despite the success of interdiction operations in the past.) Threats are being made against Nigeria, Venezuela, etc. We need oversight by Congress!
